In June 2009, I attended a panel on Game Writing at the Games in Education Summit at Carnegie Mellon University's ETC. Lee Sheldon contributed some real zingers of wisdom on that panel, and I was very pleased to find this interview with him. Thank you for sharing it.
It's a very good read and I hope to track down some of the games that Lee worked on. As a fellow game designer, I appreciate his quest to take on exciting new projects that instigate learning and growth (in all participants!).

Very interesting article. Despite its drawbacks, orient Express was a very thrilling game to play (at least for someone who's never read any of her books). Any problems I did have with the game were the technical sides, and the storytelling itself was masterful (I don't know whether to congratulate Agasta for that though).
I do like this person's theory to good storytelling and games 'Build upon the lessons of the past to create the storytelling of the future.'
This is one of the factors why I believe adventures are failing, not learning by lessons, not trying hard to reinvent.
