My God what a huge disappointment! I'm afraid I won't be playing it further, because I already got stuck right outside the casino with the Mob...
I always get really sad when I see a nice idea being made into something this lame and unpleasant... and yet this crappy game has been published and poor bastards like me even spend their money on it! There ought to be some kind of a law preventing game companies from publishing low-quality shit like Luckless John... :(
Nice review. I enjoyed the game to a certain extent, but was humbled by the repetitive precision driving sequences. I agree with you; it's bad to ask players to do very precise maneuvers with sloppy controls. Still, I thought it was overall fun and campy, though the dialog and such could have been much better. I always get the impression that I'm losing about 75% of the humor in the translation (not just the language, but culture as well).
